The State Government has reached into it’s pockets and pulled out $50 million for the current drought dilemma

The NSW Government has decided to make it rain money to confront the state’s H2O crisis situation.

The Minister for Water announced the $50m to target a number of major water infrastucture initiatives

$39 million will go to Tamworth’s emergency pipeline, which will connect Chaffey Dam to Dungowan village

At the moment, several NSW towns are facing a summer without water. Several are expected to have no water by early November.

WaterNSW is engaging contractors to extend water supply in the Macquarie Valley across Dubbo, Wellington, Narromine, Warren, Nyngan and Cobar

Some rain fell recently in Sydney, but the dry ground swallowed almost all of it.

The rain that dropped from the sky produced very little run-off, and had little effect on low reservoir levels around Sydney
