Short answer: Farmers across rural Australia are frustrated by a perceived lack of government support for farm water infrastructure, including dam construction and maintenance funding. While water security is critical to agricultural productivity, policy and funding gaps leave many landholders struggling to invest in adequate storage capacity. Greater government commitment to farm dam support could significantly boost regional resilience.
